How does That's A Nice Car work?

Sellers list cars for sale with a Value Range Price, such as $325,000 – $340,000. The shortest Value Listing Period is 10 days, but it can be much longer.

Buyers make Offers, which cannot be lower than the Value Range Price.  All Offers include other criteria, such as whether the Buyer will make a Deposit.

All Buyers who make an Offer and all Sellers have a private Dashboard on That’s A Nice Car where they can see all Offers, manage their Offers and Listings, and Sellers can accept Offers.

Will I have a Dashboard?

Yes, if you make an Offer, and if you are a Seller, you will have a private Dashboard on That’s A Nice Car.  The Dashboard can be used to review, edit, and/or delete Offers and Listings.  Sellers also use the Dashboard to accept an Offer.  All That’s A Nice Car users who are logged in have access to their own, proprietary Dashboard.

What is a Value Range Price?

A Value Range Price is the Seller’s estimate of the fair market value of the car, and it also establishes the lowest amount of any OfferOffers may exceed the Value Range Price, however, and often do.  If a Value Range Price is $325,000 – $340,000, for example, Offers may not be less than $325,000, but may exceed $340,000.

How long are cars listed on That's A Nice Car?

The standard Value Listing Period is 10 days, and the upgraded Listing Period is 30 days.  Cars may be listed for as long as 90 days, at no additional cost.  Note that Sellers can accept any Offer at any time, however, which will immediately terminate the Listing Period, so Buyers are encouraged to make the best Offer they can make.

How do I make an Offer on a car?

Buyers click MAKE AN OFFER, from either the Listings page or the dedicated car page.  At the MAKE AN OFFER page, Buyers answer 6 questions: (1) Price, (2) Deposit, (3) Source of Funds, (4) Method of Payment, (5) Time to Acquire, and (6) Method of Acquisition.

The Price may not be less than the Value Range Price, but it may be higher.

If I make an Offer, can I see all other Offers?

Yes.  As soon as you make an Offer, you will be able to see the details of all other Offers on that car, on your Dashboard, and you will receive a daily email showing all Offers on that car.

Can I change or cancel my Offer?

Yes, you may change or cancel your Offer at any time on your Dashboard.  If you cancel your Offer after the Buyer has accepted it, however, That’s A Nice Car fees are non-refundable.

What happens when an Offer is accepted?

When an Offer is accepted, the Value Listing Period is terminated and the Buyer is notified immediately by email.  All That’s A Nice Car fees are collected and are non-refundable.  The Seller provides the Buyer with contact information, and the Buyer should immediately pay the Deposit (if any).  Buyer and Seller then work together outside of That’s A Nice Car to arrange for payment and delivery of the car.

How do sell my car on That's A Nice Car?

Sellers click Sell Your Car on the That’s A Nice Car website, and answer 6 basic questions: (1) Year, (2) Make, (3) Model, (4) Mileage, (5) Paint Color, and (6) Interior Color.  You can add the VIN and upload a photo here, but it is not required at this point.  You can also decide whether to receive notifications from That’s A Nice Car via text message.

You must be registered and logged to SUBMIT on the Sell Your Car page. Registration requires name, email address, user name, and password.  If you are not registered, or registered but not logged in, when you click SUBMIT on the Sell Your Car page, you will be automatically directed to the My Account page first.

After you SUBMIT on the Sell Your Car page, you will receive an email approving your car, with a private link to Create My Listing.

At your private Create My Listing page, you answer a series of questions, and either upload photos or we will arrange for professional photos.  Once the Create My Listing page is complete and approved, your car appears on the That’s A Nice Car Listings page, and That’s A Nice Car also creates a dedicated page for your car.

How do I take great pictures for my Listing?

If you would like for That’s A Nice Car to send a photographer to your home or office to photograph your car, we will be happy to do so.  Otherwise, you can take great pictures of your car on your phone! That’s A Nice Car‘s guide to taking great pictures is HERE.

How is the Value Range Price determined?

The Value Range Price is entirely at your discretion, and it is solely your decision. That’s A Nice Car will list your car with whatever Value Range Price you approve.

How long can I list my car on That's A Nice Car?

Standard: 10-Day Listing Period + 1 renewal at no cost

A 10-day Listing Period is available to all Sellers.  If your car receives no Offers, you may list it again for a 10-day Value Listing Period, at no additional cost, so your car may be listed for up to 20 days.

Upgraded: 30-Day Listing Period + up to 2 renewals at no cost

A 30-day Listing Period is available to all Sellers.  If your car receives no Offers, you may list it again for up to 2 more, 30-day Listing Periods, at no additional cost, so your car may be listed for up to 90 days.

Note that you may accept any Offer at any time, which will immediately terminate the Listing Period.  In this case, TANC’s fees are nonrefundable.

Can I change the content of my Listing?

After the Listing Period starts, we generally do not change the content of the Listing.  We make exceptions for significant issues. If you do not receive an Offer during the initial Listing Period, however; we encourage changes to the Listing content for renewal(s).

Note that you can provide additional information in the Comments section of the Listing page at any time, and you can respond to specific questions from Buyers as well.

Can I cancel my Listing?

Yes.  You may cancel your Listing at any time, and owe nothing more than what you have already paid.

Do I have to accept any Offer I receive?

No. You can choose to reject all Offers. That’s A Nice Car and all Buyers will expect you accept a reasonable offer, however.

How much are That's A Nice Car fees for Sellers?

Standard: 10-Day Listing Period + 1 renewal

Seller:  $99 to list your car with your own photos, $199 with professional photos, plus $199 if and only when an Offer is accepted.

Upgraded: 30-Day Listing Period + up to 2 renewals

Seller:  $199 to list your car with your own photos, $299 with professional photos, plus $299 if and only when an Offer is accepted

How much are That's A Nice Car fees for Buyers?

Buyer: 2.00% of the Price under $150k

1.75% of the Price from $150k to less than $200k

1.50% of the Price from $200k and higher*

*No fee on any portion of a Price above $700k*
