FAQ

How does That's A Nice Car work?

Sellers list cars for sale with a Value Range price, such as $325,000 – $340,000, for a Listing Period which is typically 30 days.

Buyers make Offers, which cannot be lower than the Value Range price. All Offers must include 6 criteria: (1) Price, (2) Deposit, (3) Source of Funds, (4) Method of Payment, (5) Time to Acquire, and (6) Method of Acquisition.

Sellers and Buyers who make an Offer are given a private Dashboard to manage Listings and Offers.

Once a Seller accepts an Offer, the Buyer pays a fee calculated as a percentage of the Price, which includes the cost of a CarFax(r) report, a pre-purchase inspection, and escrow services, and That’s A Nice Car will also assist arranging transportation.

*The CarFax(r), pre-purchase inspection, and escrow services are provided by independent service providers; That’s A Nice Car does not participate in the transaction in any way.

Do Sellers and Buyers have a Private Dashboard?

Yes, Sellers and Buyers who make an Offer are given a private Dashboard to manage Listings and Offers. The Dashboard can be used to review, edit, and/or delete Offers and Listings.  Sellers also use the Dashboard to accept an Offer.

All That’s A Nice Car users who are logged in have access to their private Dashboard.

What is a Value Range Price?

A Value Range price is the Seller’s estimate of the fair market value of the car, and it also establishes the lowest amount of any Offer.

For example: $275,000 – $295,000, in which case the lowest possible offer is $275,000.

How long are cars listed on That's A Nice Car?

The standard Listing Period is 30 days, although if a Seller accepts an Offer the Listing Period automatically terminates. The Listing Period can also be extended at no additional cost.

Sellers can accept any Offer at any time which immediately terminates the Listing Period, so Buyers are encouraged to make the best Offer they can make.

How does a Buyer make an Offer on a car?

Buyers click MAKE AN OFFER, from either the Listings page or the dedicated car page, and answer 6 questions: (1) Price, (2) Deposit, (3) Source of Funds, (4) Method of Payment, (5) Time to Acquire, and (6) Method of Acquisition.

The Price may not be less than the Value Range Price, but it may be higher.

Can all Buyers see all Offers?

Yes. As soon as a Buyer makes an Offer, that Buyer is able to see the details of all other Offers on that car, on the Buyer’s private Dashboard.

This complete transparency gives Buyers the ability to review all other Offers and adjust their own Offer if so desired, up until the time the Seller accepts an Offer.

Can Buyers change or cancel an Offer?

Yes, Buyers may change or cancel an Offer at any time. If a Buyer cancels an Offer after the Seller has accepted it, however, That’s A Nice Car fees are non-refundable.

What happens when an Offer is accepted?

When an Offer is accepted by the Seller, the Listing Period terminates, the Buyer is notified by email, and all That’s A Nice Car fees are collected and become non-refundable.

That’s a Nice Car arranges for a CarFax report, a pre-purchase inspection, and provides escrow instruction to the Buyer and Seller, all of which are entirely optional for both Buyer and Seller, however; That’s a Nice Car does not participate in the transaction in any way.

At the private Create My Listing page, the Seller answers a series of questions, and uploads photos. Once the Create My Listing page is complete and approved, the car appears on the That’s A Nice Car Listings page, and That’s A Nice Car also creates a dedicated page for your car.
