Mint condition! Fully loaded, see options on window sticker pictured below. This car has never even seen any rain, let alone snow or any harsh elements. It has a clear bra on entire front end, and hood, and side mirrors, which has protected the paint from damage due to normal driving and from the elements. All of the paint that is not covered in a clear bra is fully ceramic coated. I have loved owning and driving this car. It is one of the true, classic supercars on the road today, and it fully lives up to all expectations. I hope the next owner of the fantastic automobile will enjoying owning it and driving it, and sometimes just sitting it, every bit as much as I have.

  • Exterior Description/Details:

Ferrari set out to distinguish the 488 from its predecessors in a number of ways. They took notes from their F1 team on how to reduce the drag coefficient while increasing downforce, and borrowed design elements like the central Aero Pillar up front for diverting air along and beneath the car, and creating an underbody designed to create a vortex, pulling the car closer to the ground. Door handles were designed to redirect air towards the side intakes, which are split to provide cooling for the engine, and to redirect airflow through the rear vents located near the taillights. The rear diffuser features variable flaps to redirect airflow, and works with the patented rear spoiler to help fill the vacuum created as the car moves through the air, reducing drag. The result is that 488 creates 50% more downforce than the 458 it replaces in the Ferrari lineup. This 488 Spider features aluminum bodywork finished in Grigio Silverstone Metallic with a chip-resistant clearbra covering the front, hood, and mirrors, while the rest of the car has been ceramic coated for easier cleaning. Additional options include yellow brake calipers for the carbon ceramic brakes, sport exhaust pipes, Scuderia Ferrari shields, and Ferrari’s Advanced Frontlighting System which adjusts the angle and intensity of the lights based on steering inputs.

The interior is finished in Nero leather with yellow contrasting stitching, yellow seat belts, embroidered Prancing Horses on the headrests, and carbon fiber on the center bridge, tunnel trim, and dashboard inserts. Power-adjustable seats were also optioned, as was the suspension lift system for the front end, and rear parking sensors, making the car a viable daily driver if the new owner was so inclined. The carbon fiber and leather-wrapped steering wheel features the manettino dial for selecting drive modes and suspension settings, as well as switches for the headlights, windshield wipers, turn signals, while LEDs along the top to keep the driver apprised of the fast-approaching redline. The power folding metal top can be raised and lowered in about 14 seconds provided the car is traveling under 25 mph, and only adds about 110 pounds to the overall weight. Seems like an easy trade-off for the wind-in-your-hair experience.

  • Engine Description/Details: Another first for the 488 was that it marked the first time in this model’s lineage starting with the 308 that a turbocharged power plant was available worldwide (there was a 208 Turbo made for the Italian domestic market). The result is a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 that produces 661 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque, which is about 50% more than the iconic Ferrari F40. That power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and propels the 488 from 0-60 in 3.0 seconds with a top speed of 202. Carbon ceramic brakes ensure stopping power will be there when you need it, while the Side Slip Angle Control and SCM3 magnetic suspension damping are tuned to make you look like a hero during hot laps. With just under 1400 miles on the odometer, this 488 Spider is just waiting for a new owner to take it from the track to the grocery store, and everywhere in between.
