The LFA is the car Lexus spent a decade perfecting, going so far as to build its own carbon-fiber looms when aluminum prototypes fell short. Its 4.8-liter V10, co-developed with Yamaha, revs from idle to its 9,000-rpm redline so quickly that an analog tachometer could not keep pace — hence the digital display. Just 500 were built between 2010 and 2012, and the LFA has since settled into the first rank of modern collector cars.
