  • PPI Reimbursement Guaranty. If the PPI says the car isn't what the listing said it was, your pre-purchase inspection is on us. Nobody else in this market does that. When we arrange for the PPI through our network, if there is accident damage, paintwork, a branded title, an odometer or VIN discrepancy, a major component that doesn't work, an undisclosed modification that moves the value — any of those, documented in the PPI report and not in the listing, then we reimburse what you paid the inspector.
  • For any other reason, the fee stands. Once the seller has accepted, a change of heart, financing that falls through, or second thoughts about the price you offered aren't grounds for a refund.
  • Sellers pay us nothing, so there's no sell-side commission built into the price you're offering.

How the guaranties work. Tell us within 2 business days of acceptance that you want an inspection. Give us written notice that you're terminating within 2 business days of receiving the report, and no later than the earlier of 10 days after acceptance or the time to acquire you stated in your offer. The report has to document one of the conditions listed above, and that condition can't have been disclosed in the listing.

The Fee Refund Guaranty applies whether we booked the inspection or you did. The PPI Reimbursement Guaranty applies only if we booked it through our network, and to one inspection per buyer every 12 months.

Your deposit is held by the escrow provider under your agreement with the seller. We don't control it. Full terms in Sections 6.4 and 6.6 of the Terms of Service.
