The 997 Carrera 4 GTS paired the GTS Powerkit 3.8 with all-wheel drive for a single model year in the US, arriving just before the 991 took over. It shares the wide body and center-lock wheels of the rear-drive GTS while adding the security of driven front wheels. Its short run makes it one of the less common late 997 variants.
