The 2016 Maybach S 600 relaunched Maybach as a Mercedes sub-brand rather than a standalone marque, stretching the W222 S-Class roughly eight inches to create a proper chauffeur car. Power comes from the 523-hp 6.0-liter biturbo V12, and the rear cabin — with reclining executive seating — was among the quietest ever measured in a production car. It reestablished the Maybach name on far firmer footing than the 57 and 62 ever found.
