The 981 Cayman GT4 was the first mid-engine Porsche entrusted to the GT division, and it arrived fully formed: a 385 hp 3.8-liter from the Carrera S, GT3 front suspension, a proper wing, and a six-speed manual as the only transmission. It proved a Cayman could sit in the same conversation as the 911 GT cars. First-year values never really dipped, and they have not looked back.
