The W221-generation S63 AMG adopted the 5.5-liter M157 biturbo V8 for 2011, replacing the naturally aspirated 6.2 with 536 hp and a considerably deeper well of torque. The MCT seven-speed and rear-drive layout kept it the driver's S-Class. As the last of the pre-W222 S63s, it represents AMG's big sedan just before the model went all-wheel drive in America.
