The Regera dispenses with the gearbox entirely: Koenigsegg Direct Drive links the 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors to the rear axle through a single ratio, good for roughly 1,500 hp combined. Eighty were built between 2016 and 2022. It set the 0-400-0 km/h world record in 2019 and remains the marque's definitive grand-touring hypercar.
