Z06 has denoted the sharpest series-production Corvette since Zora Arkus-Duntov's 1963 racing package. The 2019 car closed out the C7 era with a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4, while the mid-engine C8 Z06 that arrived for 2023 answered with the LT6 — a 5.5-liter flat-plane-crank V8 that revs to 8,600 rpm and launched as the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in any production car. Both generations were developed in lockstep with Corvette Racing's competition programs.
