When the current-generation Vantage launched automatic-only, Aston Martin answered enthusiasts with a seven-speed manual — a dogleg-pattern Graziano gearbox with AMSHIFT rev-matching, paired to the 503-hp AMG-sourced twin-turbo V8 with torque capped to protect the transmission. It arrived first in the limited Vantage AMR, then as a regular production option. These cars are the only manual-transmission turbocharged Astons ever built, and among the last manual V8 sports cars from any luxury marque.
