The M2 Competition replaced the original M2 outright, swapping the N55 single-turbo six for a 405-hp version of the M3 and M4's S55 twin-turbo engine along with the larger cooling system to support it. It kept the short wheelbase, the available manual, and the unfiltered character that made the F87 the M car of its era to drive.
