Developed extensively at the Nürburgring — hence the Green Hell Magno launch color — the AMG GT R turned the C190 into a legitimate track car: 577 hp, active aerodynamics with an underbody profile, rear-wheel steering and a nine-position traction control dial derived from the GT3 race program. It lapped the Nordschleife in 7:10.9 in 2016, a rear-drive production-car benchmark at the time. Among first-generation GTs, only the Black Series sits above it.
