The R8 is Audi's mid-engine flagship, built around an aluminum spaceframe with quattro all-wheel drive and assembled by hand at Neckarsulm. First-generation cars offered a 4.2L V8 or 5.2L V10 with the option of a gated six-speed manual; the second generation went V10-only, sharing its 5.2L unit with the Lamborghini Huracan. It remains the rare exotic that pairs genuine supercar pace with everyday usability, and clean examples — particularly gated manuals — have become the collectible core of the modern Audi catalog.
