The Tuatara is SSC's clean-sheet successor to the Ultimate Aero: a Jason Castriota-designed body with a 0.279 drag coefficient over a bespoke 5.9-liter twin-turbo flat-plane V8 rated at 1,750 hp on E85. Its verified 282.9 mph two-way average in 2021 places it among the fastest cars ever run. Production is planned at 100 cars, built in Richland, Washington.
