The 296 GTS is the retractable-hardtop version of the 296 GTB, carrying the same 819-horsepower pairing of a 120-degree twin-turbo V6 and an electric motor. The roof stows in 14 seconds at up to 28 mph, and Ferrari tuned the exhaust specifically so the V6 - which engineers nicknamed the piccolo V12 - is heard properly with the top down. It is the open-air entry point to Ferrari's hybrid berlinetta era, with none of the coupe's pace given up.

Specification carried over unchanged. Ferrari revealed the 296 Speciale and Speciale A in the spring of 2025, which settled the standard GTS's role as the understated choice in the family.
