The 4C is the closest thing to a road-legal prototype that modern Alfa Romeo has built: a full carbon-fiber monocoque tub, a mid-mounted 1.75-liter turbocharged four, unassisted steering, and a curb weight around 2,500 pounds. Assembled at the Maserati plant in Modena, it marked Alfa's return to the American market after a two-decade absence. A carbon-tub chassis at its price point has never been repeated, which is exactly why collectors keep circling back to it.
